and on the seventh day

on christmas day, i decided granbury sounded like an ideal holiday getaway. the unexpected perk was that the downtown, the surrounding park, and the lake were all abandoned...the downside was that all the small shops in town were closed.

granbury boasts a historic square filled with buildings from the late 1800's and early 1900's. from the beautiful courthouse to the old west vibe of the other downtown buildings, it's obvious why the town has become a weekender's destination.

the park near the square was all lit up for christmas; an abundance of lights added to the beauty of the trail, trees, and creek within the park.
